About Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia

Helping older adults live independently since 1978. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving eight communities across Hampton Roads.

Our Mission

We Help Older Adults Age on Their Own Terms

Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia is an Area Agency on Aging serving adults 60 and older across eight jurisdictions in Hampton Roads. Our mission is to support older adults in maintaining their independence, dignity, and quality of life within their own communities.

We believe that where you live and how you live should be your choice. Our programs and services are designed to support that independence — whether through a hot meal at your door, a ride to your doctor, someone to talk to, or a counselor to help navigate Medicare.

We do not design our services around internal departments or organizational structures. We design them around the people we serve.

We believe older adults deserve the right to live in the home of their choosing, in a community of their choosing, with appropriate support and services.
